A martini cocktail is certainly an apptite whetter. As a holiday host or hostess, you'll be mingling, mixing martinis, mingling, and mixing more martinis; your responsibility doesn't end there!

A guest at a martini cocktail party, will soon be a 'hungry' guest at a cocktail party. Whether you call it finger food, appetizers, antipasto, aperitif, canapé, cocktail, dip, finger food, hors d'oeuvre, munchies, relish, sample, spread, taste, or tidbit--we call it a must for any successful cocktail party.

To set you on the right track and ensure that your guests are not only amazed at your excellent martini cocktails but your overall skill and hospitality, we present the following list of wonderfully delicious recipes.

  Fancy Leaf Boats  
 

Ingredients

  • 2 heads of Belgian endive leaves
  • 2 cups of plain cream cheese
  • 3 green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon chives (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup pimiento-stuffed olives (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 small red bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce

The mix

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth
  • Stir in your onions, chives, olives and hot pepper sauce until well blended
  • Gently spoon the mixture onto the endive leaves
  • Chill for an hour before serving - which leaves plenty of time for you to enjoy a delicious cosmo before your guests arrive!
 
  Black Tie Cheese Straws  
 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of butter (salted)
  • 1 pound of grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 pound of Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 cups of sifted flour
  • 2 tablespoons of cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons of sea salt
  • 1 dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1 dash of white pepper
  • 1/2 ounce of Blavod black vodka

The mix

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  • While the oven is preheating, spin some lounge grooves! How about one of our lounge CD's?
  • Blend the flour, vodka, butter, cheese and cream cheese. We recommend hand blending--use a big spoon and a big mixing bowl!
  • Once the mixture has a creamy consistancy, add the pepper and salt
  • Roll the dough to a 1/4 inch thickness and score with a fork
  • Cut into stips or squares...or martini shapes!
  • Bake approximately 8 minutes
  • Serve them hot or cold, but always with a freezing martini in hand
 
  Martini Shrimp Cocktail  
 

Martini shrimp cocktail party recipeIngredients

  • A set of fabulous looking martini glasses! How about the martini glass in the picture?
  • Thawed jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • Sliced avocado
  • Package of prewashed frise' or field greens
  • Steamed (still crisp) long beans
  • Fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 ounce of Absolut Peppar vodka
  • Garlic blossoms or any savory, edible flowers

The mix

  • Load some frise' or field greens into a chilled martini glass
  • Add 2 thin slices of avocado
  • Add 1 or 2 shrimp
  • Add 2 green beans
  • Sprinkle with lemon juice and vodka
  • Top with an edible flower
  • Chill some martinis
  • Serve them up and amaze your guests!
 
  Cocktail Weiner Deluxe  
 

Ingredients

  • 1 package of cocktail weiners (approximately 32)
  • Ready bake dough
  • Crumbled bacon bits
  • Swiss cheese, sliced into 1 x 2 inch strips

The mix

  • Unpackage and flatten the dough and slice into 3 x 3 inch squares
  • Place 1 cocktail weiner on a dough square, add a stip of cheese and roll it up
  • Sprinkle with bacon bits
  • Repeat with all cocktail weiners
  • Bake in a pre-heated 400 degree oven for approximately 10 minutes--until the dough is golden brown
  • Allow to cool and serve them with fancy ketchup and a chilly martini!
 
  Martini Club Stuffed Celery  
 

Ingredients

  • 2 large stalks of celery (trimmed and washed)
  • 2 pounds of softened cream cheese
  • 6 ground jumbo shrimp
  • 6 ounces of brie
  • 2 teaspoon of finely chopped shallots
  • 1 teaspoon of finely chopped chives
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of Tabasco green hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika

The mix

  • In a food processor, combine your shrimp, cream cheese, and brie
  • Mix until smooth
  • Add your shallots and pulse quickly until combined
  • Add your sauces and pulse quickly
  • Scoop your wonderful creation into a pastry bag
  • Using a nice tip (we suggest a "rose") on the pastery bag, carefully stuff your celery stalks
  • Cut your stuffed celery stalks into pieces approximately 4 inches long
  • Arrange nicely on a serving platter
  • Sprinkle with chives and paprika
  • Amazing!
 
  Hot Clam Dip Martini Style  
 

Ingredients

  • 7 ounces of minced clams
  • 2 tablespoons of minced white onion
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon of Tabasco red hot sauce
  • 1 cup of diced sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons of chopped black olives
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of Absolut Peppar
  • Heaping bowl of tortilla chips and assorted crackers

The mix

  • Drain the clams a reserve 1 tablespoon of liquid
  • Sweat the onion in butter until the onion becomes clear (not brown)
  • Add the clams, reserved clam juice, and vodka
  • Stir until hot
  • Add your remaining ingredients and stir until the cheese is melted
  • Carefully spoon your bubbling, cheesy creation into a beautiful serving bowl
  • Exit the kitchen carrying this steaming dip and smile...you are a superstar!
