I Dont Caramel, Just Get Me a Martini |
|
| |
If you love sweets, this martini is for you. If you love a wonderfully chic presentation, this martini is for you. If you want to prove you are the host with the most--this martini is for you. It involves some hot stuff, so please be careful.
Ingredients
-
1/2 cup of cane sugar.
- 1 cup of water.
- 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise.
- 8 ounces of freezing Stoli Vanil vodka.
The mix
- Pour the sugar and 1/2 cup of water into a sauce pan and slowly bring to a boil. Cook until the water begins to evaporate and your sugar mixture turns a golden brown; do not stir. Congratulations--you''ve just made caramel.
- Pour your freezing Stoli Vanil vodka into a shaker 3/4 full of cracked ice.
- Shake, shake, shake.
- Scrape the contents of your vanilla bean into the shaker.
- Dip a fork into your caramel and drizzle a bit into each martini glass. The caramel will instantly create strands of delicious goodness. If you are daring, you can add a few more "flicks" of caramel into each glass.
- You''ll be the talk of the town!

Trifecta martini |
|
| |
This is a strong martini. If you are enjoy a "brain cleaning" sensation, you''ll love this drink. I find that this martini is a great prelude to a big meal. This martini requires a few days of preparation, and it will be well worth the wait.
Ingredients
- 1 bottle of Blavod black vodka.
- 1 horseradish root. Don''t use the prepared stuff--get a fresh root.
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
- 2 teaspoons of olive brine.
- 2 ounces of dry vermouth.
- 6 bleu cheese stuffed olives.
The mix
- Wash and peel your horseradish root and shave off about a 1/2 cup of slivers. Make room in the bottle of Blavod (hmm...) and stuff those slivers into the bottle. Cap it and allow it to steep in the refrigerator for a minimum of two days.
- Measure 12 ounces of your horsey Blavod and add it along with the vermouth to a shaker 1/2 full of cracked ice.
- Lid your shaker and shake, swirl, shake, swirl. No need for any aerobic type shaking with this cocktail.
- Strain your cocktail into two well chilled martini glasses.
- Each glass gets one teaspoon of olive brine and three bleu cheese stuffed olives.
- Sprinkle a tiny bit of cayenne pepper into each glass.
- Sip very slowly and get ready for a rush!
