What is going on at MartiniArt.com these days?

Think of this page as our "micro blog" that we'll be updating frequently with our latest news and events. We are still keeping our blog going, but check back here often for special updates.

It's been pretty busy at MartiniArt.com for the past few months! We've been working on our new retail space - yes, a real MartiniArt.com store. Although we are keeping limited hours at this point, we'll be hosting special events and keeping our visitors up to date on the latest happenings.

Last night we spent the evening with some of our friends and martini fans at the very cool Evans Street Station in Tecumseh, Michigan. Evans Street Station is a fabulous restaurant and cocktail lounge down the street from the MartiniArt.com retail store. The folks at the Station graciously invited our very own MartiniGuy to shake up some special martinis for the standing room only crowd.

Here is an excerpt of the event announcement on the Evans Street website:

"Join Evans Street Station and about twenty other participating downtown Tecumseh businesses as we host the second annual Art Walk, where local artists will showcase their works.

Maps will be available at all participating merchants, to help you navigate your stroll through the downtown district.

Here at Evans Street, we'll welcome Jerry Gonto from MartiniArt as our guest bartender for the evening.  Festive martinis will be featured from the MartiniArt.com stockpile of favorites, along with their wares and photography.  Of course, Evans Street will have munchies and plenty of hospitality on hand for your enjoyment."

Everyone enjoyed the evening, great martinis, awesome food and the laughter of good friends. We sincerely want to thank Beth, and all of the fine folks at Evans Street Station for the invite. A special shout out to Craig and Dennis - some very amazing bartenders indeed.

Our new MartiniArt.com retail store is seeing some great walk in traffic. Thanks to all of the swanky locals that have dropped by to shop and chat with us. We are open limited walk in hours (for now). Stop by and check out the store from 1pm to 5pm Saturdays. Of course, you can always shop online at MartiniArt.com 24/7 on the web. Here are some random pics that we snapped of the store.

Martiniart.com makes the local news!

Thankfully, Tecumseh, Michigan is a small & vibrant community that still has a local newspaper. We were recently visited by Deb Wuethrich from the Tecumseh Herald, and she wrote a very cool article about us. Check it out...

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at martiniart.comWe had the pleasure of seeing Big Bad Voodoo Daddy perform at the Tecumseh Arts Center, which is just around the block from our retail store. Linda had been working tirelessly to get the gents in the band to drop by and relax after their show. As soon as the show ended, we raced back to the store to launch the after party - and wouldn't you know it, a few members of the band dropped in to sip a martini & mingle with the other guests!

For those that might not know, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is a big band, based in Southern California. The group has been together for 16 years. Their latest album "How Big Can You Get" is a tribute to the music of Cab Calloway. Their show featured many songs off their album - its a must see & hear.

Not only is Big Bad Voodoo Daddy an amazing band - oozing with fun and talent, but these guys are so nice, down to Earth and gracious. Next time you are in Tecumseh, Michigan, stop by MartiniArt.com...you never know who you might run into.
